Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You

Released: October 29th, 1994
Album: Merry Christmas

This is Mariah’s biggest international success, charting at #1 in countless countries and is the 12th best selling single of all time. It is also the best selling Christmas single by a female artist. The week ending December 21st, 2019, the song charted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time since it was released.
While Christmas classics are a sacred catalogue of songs, this is one of the few modern songs that is worthy of their company.

Interesting Facts: The song was written in just 15 minutes by Mariah and Walter Afanasieff.

NSync - Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays

Released: November 29th, 1998
Album: Home For Christmas

NSync’s one and only released single off of their album charted at #37 on the Top 40 Mainstream chart. NSync had only been on the music scene since March of the same year, so a Christmas album was pushed to keep their momentum going. Unfortunately it also resulted in this music video.

Interesting Facts: That is indeed Gary Coleman dressed up as an elf.
